Pupil Incentive Programmes

Pupil Incentive Programmes This scholastic year, two pupil incentive programmes have been well supported within our CHS community whereby teamwork and collaboration were of essence across the Level 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 classes. The ‘Helping Hands Points Reward’ focused on a point system whereby the children were given class points for supporting the school rules, being responsible and respectful towards oneself and others as well as sharing and caring for the school community. The ‘Button-a-Book’ incentive in Level 3, 4, and 5 focused on challenging pupils to take more of an interest in reading. Pupils kept a reading log of all the books they read throughout the year. For every book read, pupils were rewarded buttons for their class. These initiatives have given the children the opportunity to value the relevance and importance of reading and respect within the school community. As a reward for supporting these initiatives, the classes who achieved the most buttons and points were treated to a special outing to a hands-on pottery activity. A big well done to all! Collaboration, teamwork, commitment and respect are values that are integral within our CHS community.

Level 11 ACCS Film

Level 11 ACCS Film This year's Level 11 ACCS film is a psychological thriller based on Shakespeare's Macbeth. In this modern adaptation Macbeth finds himself entangled with shady events which awaken a dark desire within him. He is pursued by two detectives, who are working to put an end to the cult and the string of missing persons attached to it. The idea was constructed based on input from the students who worked hard to deconstruct the original text and come up with a new approach to the play with their own twist. The focus of the project is to develop 21st century learning skills in learners, skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking.

Level 11 Graduation Ceremony

Level 11 Graduation Ceremony This year’s graduation ceremony for our Level 11 students was an emotional and lovely event that we enjoyed very much. The night started with Holy Mass, kindly celebrated by Fr Lawrence Essery. This was followed by the certificate and prize giving ceremony in which we celebrated our students’ successes and achievements. Prizes and certificates were presented by Ms Bernie Mizzi, CHSMC Director and Mr Michael Xuereb, CEO at EC English, Malta, who kindly gave us his time to validate this ceremony and address our students too. We enjoyed delightful performances as well as speeches delivered by students. Towards the end of the evening, student Livia Arrigo’s presentation provided moments of nostalgia to all present. We would like to thank all staff, parents and students who attended, as well as all who helped in the organisation of this memorable event. Finally, we must express our appreciation and awe at yet another wonderful performance by our Level 11 students in their interpretation of 'Macbeth' in the ACCS film project ‘Hide Your Fires’. A truly professional production! We wish all our students success and happiness in whatever path they choose to follow.
