Mock job interviews for SMC Sixth Form students
Mock job interviews for SMC Sixth Form students Four members of staff of PwC Malta conducted mock job interviews for St Martin’s College Sixth Form students. The aim of these interviews is to help students experience a real-life job interview and help them prepare for the world of work. Students attended a preparatory meeting and were asked to present their CVs and cover letters during the mock interview itself. Individual feedback will be provided to the students during the follow-up session which will be held next week. St Martin’s College Sixth From is committed to developing the skills that young people require for the modern workplace. This exercise, organised by Ms Eleanor Abela, the College’s Careers Adviser, helps our students build the confidence they need in an interview situation. The College would like to thank PwC Malta for providing our students with the unique opportunity and for their valuable advice and support.. The College is also very proud to point out that one of the visiting interviewers was Nicola Galea, a past student of St Martin’s College Sixth Form.
Danish students visit SMC Sixth Form
Danish students visit SMC Sixth Form A group of students from Sct. Knuds Gymnasium in Odense, Denmark visited St Martin’s College Sixth Form as part of their week-long cultural trip to Malta. This was the second visit to St Martin's College by the Danish school, following a very successful visit last year. The group joined our students for a Sociology class during which they engaged in an enriching intercultural exchange. First year students, Alexander Jacobsen and David Cardona, very ably delivered a short presentation about Malta during an English Intermediate class. This was followed by a presentation about Denmark. The Maltese and Danish students were then divided into groups and engaged in a debate about whether violence in virtual reality should be banned. The visit provided students with an opportunity to share their educational experiences and to participate in an inspiring intercultural event.
