Outing Gnejna Bay

Geography students from Levels 9 and 10 visited Gnejna Bay, to carry out an investigation on coastal processes as an extension of their in-school learning.
They analysed the results of the erosional and depositional processes, that they learnt about in class.
Students also learnt to use a variety of instruments, including a clinometer, to collect data.
They calculated the gradient of the beach, analysed the size and shape of sediment and measured the speed of longshore drift.
An excellent hands-on learning experience.
