World Down Syndrome Day at Chiswick House School

On March 21st, we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day at Chiswick House School.

Throughout the day, several activities and a special assembly were organised to celebrate and promote awareness of Down Syndrome, whilst embracing how we are all unique and each have special qualities.

In assembly, we spoke about how to be respectful, understanding and inclusive within our community and every day.

Our pupils designed a pair of odd socks representing their character and each of them wrote qualities that they felt represent themselves.

The celebration ended with a song, where our pupils joined in using sign language and actions.

Well done to all involved and thank you to our staff and learners who rocked their socks!
